I stayed in a room with a four-poster bed and loved the character of it. The historic vibe was amazing with original beams and cozy decor. The feather duvet made for a super comfy sleep. Bathroom lighting was surprisingly good, which is a win in the morning. Just the church bells ringing from 7am were a bit much for my liking, but that’s the charm of the place!

The Crown Inn charmed me with its rich history and unique Tudor architecture. I felt enveloped by its character, especially in the Superior Room with Four Poster Bed. The intricate wooden beams created a warm atmosphere. Breakfast was delightful, with plenty of options that pleased my palate. Staff were friendly and eager to help, enhancing my stay. I faced a bit of noise from the bar area during the evening. Despite that, it didn’t overshadow my overall enjoyment. Access to the room involved quite steep stairs, which might be tough for anyone with mobility issues. The overall experience remained pleasant.
